Personal Training

Personal training is a type of fitness training that is tailored to an individual's specific needs and goals. Neil will design and deliver exercise programs to help you improve your overall health and fitness. We will typically conduct an initial assessment to determine your current fitness level, health history, and goals. Based on this information, we will then create a customised workout plan that is tailored to your needs and abilities. It will be a combination of cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and flexibility training, as well as guidance on proper form and technique. In addition to the physical aspects of training, Neil will also provide motivation and support to help you stay on track and achieve your goals.

Small Group Training

Small group training is a type of fitness training program where a small number of individuals (usually between 2-6 people) work out together under the guidance of a personal trainer or fitness instructor. The program is designed to provide a more personal and interactive experience than traditional group fitness classes. It includes a variety of exercises and activities tailored to the group's fitness level and goals.

Flexibility and Mobility

Flexibility is the capacity of a muscle to stretch, while mobility is the ability of a joint to move through its full range of motion with control and stability. Both are important for maintaining overall fitness, preventing injuries and improving athletic performance. Flexibility training typically involves stretching exercises that are designed to increase the length of the muscle fibres, which in turn increases the range of motion of the joint. Examples of flexibility training include static stretching, dynamic stretching, and PNF stretching. Mobility training can include dynamic warm-up exercises, self-myofascial release techniques, and mobility drills that are specifically designed to improve the range of motion and control of specific joints.

Meditation

About Neil Mallison

Neil Mallinson is a Certified Personal Trainer, Master TRX Trainer, and Master Total Gym Trainer in North County San Diego. His focus as an elite fitness coach is primarily based on the psychosomatic aspect of fitness. Neil can provide a vast array of training modalities, and his services include personal training, small group training, flexibility and mobility training, meditation, breathwork, bodywork, boot camps, and sport-specific training. Neil has always loved movement and sports from a young age. Neil had a dream of becoming a professional soccer player. He has been in the fitness industry since 1998. Starting as a fitness trainer, group exercise teacher, fitness manager, company education instructor and brand ambassador. Master trainer for multiple fitness companies including Total Gym and TRX training, Neil has taught thousands of trainers domestically and internationally. He can provide a vast array of training modalities for one on one training, small groups (2-5 people) and large groups (10+). His experience with training different personalities, ages and various environments allows him to be effective in any situation.

My focus as an elite fitness coach is primarily based on the psychosomatic aspect of fitness. Understanding the client's reason for exercising, their possible mental barriers to exercise and how to make a plan engaging and consistent. Furthermore, I use specific postural analysis for each client to create a personalised program for proper posture, movement and safe, effective exercise.
